Grandpa has sprouted trays of potatoes. We bury them and pat the soil around. And then we wait...it's hard to wait!
 
All year, Billy helps his grandpa in the vegetable garden.  In the winter, they dig over the hard ground. In the spring  they sow rows of carrot, pumpkin, pea and bean seeds and as green shoots burst like magic through the soil, they keep them watered and safe from slugs. As Summer ends, Billy can pick and taste all the amazing plants he's helped to grow.
